This ACWA endorsed CPD activity is conducted by Girraway Ganyi Consultancy.
The purpose of this 4 hour course is to provide awareness of Aboriginal culture in Australia and provide an open environemnt in which participants are able to learn and explore how history impacts on current Aboriginal health of contemporary Indigenous people. Through discussions and simulated exercises, participants will be able to learn practical skills and strategies that will allow effectice working relationships between health care professionals and Aboriginal clients and families.

- Understand the events in Aboriginal history and how this impacts on Indigenous people today
- Identify evidence based skills and strategies to work with Aboriginal Torres Strait Islander clients and families
